Celebration in New york!

Celebration in Times square and down town at ground Zero. This morning i was running in the gym looking at the good news on the flatscreens about Osama Bin Laden.

The streets around our neighbourhood was unusally quiet, must been because of all the celebration down at ground zero.

Police was everywhere doing their best to keep the city safe. Firemen was crying and people was cheering.

Let`s hope the city will remain safe.

Sphere is a large metallic sculpture by German sculptor Fritz Koenig, currently displayed in Battery Park, that once stood in the middle of Austin J. Tobin Plaza, the area between the World Trade Center towers in Manhattan. After being recovered from the rubble of the Twin Towers after the September 11, 2001 attacks, its fate was initially uncertain and it was dismantled into its components. Although it remained structurally intact, it had been visibly damaged by debris from the airliners that were crashed into the buildings and the collapsing skyscrapers themselves.
Six months after the attacks, following a documentary film about the sculpture, it was relocated to Battery Park on a temporary basis—without any repairs—and formally rededicated with an eternal flame as a memorial to the victims of 9/11. It has become a majortourist attraction, due partly to the fact that it survived the attacks with only dents and holes.

Saturday brunch

Saturday we went uptown for champagne brunch. We were a little bit delayed because of a parade that we didn`t know about.... After brunch they turned up the music and the restaurant turned into a day club.

 ???

We stopped by Swedish Fika for some coffe and chokladboll on the way home.

A little bit of Stockholm on the wall.

                               THE MOODS HISTORY

In the creative cellars of the picturesque town of Stryn, Norway (pop. 6750), two local designers Simen Staalnacke and Peder Børresen, upon homecoming from years of global travels, nights of sizzling cocktails, and international studies; gave birth to a concept soon to be known, worn, and adored, as The Moods of Norway. Soon the duo met up with the third musketeer, Stefan Dahlkvist and drew their lines for the coming collections.
The brand still has its headquarters and showroom in the town of Stryn, a magical place known for glaciers, salmon fishing and one newly opened escalator.

Nathalie and me have the same passion....the Restaurant we visit has to be a hot spot, and good for celeb spotting;)

Butter on 415 Lafayette st.
Also listed in New York Magazine as a hot spot and good for celeb spotting. The Food was great. They combined many different flavors that worked perfectly together. Almost felt a little bit Scandinavian...
